Heather Davis

Director of Community Engagement & New Ventures

As Director of Community Engagement & New Ventures, Heather is responsible for driving the strategic and collaborative progress toward Lawndale Christian Development Corporation’s mission to organize with the community, for power, to eliminate health and wealth disparities in North Lawndale and around the world. Heather is half of the leadership team for LCDC Co-op where the work is done collectively through the development of creating cooperative businesses in pursuit of economic development.

Heather joined Lawndale Christian Development Corporation from Academy for Urban School Leadership where she oversaw budget management, network wide events, and the design and developments of arts education programming for 31 Chicago Public Schools. Prior to working at Academy for Urban School Leadership, Heather served as Parade Program Manager for Lions Clubs International where she managed logistics, monitored budgets, and evaluated procedures for their annual Parade of Nations which included over 15,000 Lions Clubs members, staff, and city officials.

Heather holds a BA in Music Education and Behavioral Science from DePaul University.
