
Karl Paulson
Karl Paulsen is an assistant in the LCDC Property Management Office where he supports the property managers as they provide stable, high-quality, affordable rental housing for the residents of North Lawndale.
A graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Karl's first term with LCDC started as an internship in 2005, proceeding through various roles to Assistant Project Manager for Real Estate Development and concluding in 2008 with the acquisition of the historic firehouse on Ogden that now houses the "Firehouse Community Arts Center".
He then went to work for Lawndale Christian Health Center where he worked until 2011 when he stepped down to be a full-time parent. Karl returned to LCDC in 2017 as a part-time assistant and has since served in a variety of roles in resource development, records management, community organizing and now property management.
In addition to his work at LCDC and caring for his children, Karl is an active musician and performs with various groups on the Electric Bass and Pedal Steel Guitar. Karl, his wife Erika and their two children were North Lawndale K-Town residents for 15 years and now reside in Garfield Ridge
