Mrs. Harris is originally from Gary, IN but has lived throughout the West Side of Chicago since 2017. Richelle has a background as an educator and taught elementary school for a few years before transitioning to more administrative roles in the non-profit sector. Her most recent role was Program Director of Arise Creations, a youth program of New Life Centers in Humboldt Park. She has a strong passion for seeing people be healthy, including mentally, emotionally, and financially. Her focus at LCDC is to care for the staff by providing the structure and support that allows them to flourish in their roles. Her commitment to people and specifically the black community, led her and her husband to choose North Lawndale as their home in May 2022.
