Homes to Buy

LCDC's workshops guide first-time buyers through the home purchasing process, providing essential knowledge and access to financial assistance.

Through LCDC's homeownership program, I navigated the complex journey to buying my first home with confidence. Their guidance turned my dream into reality, proving that homeownership is accessible even in challenging markets.

In our quest to bridge the racial wealth gap, LCDC, in partnership with United Power for Action and Justice, proudly leads the Reclaiming North Lawndale Initiative. This campaign is a cornerstone in our mission to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to Black and Latino families, fostering generational wealth and community revitalization.

Combating Predatory Practices:
Through our Homebuyer Education program, we empower residents with knowledge and resources. This initiative is pivotal in safeguarding our community against unfair housing practices, ensuring informed and secure homeownership decisions.

Born out of the need to address the racial wealth gap within Black and Latino communities, In partnership with United Power for Action and Justice, LCDC is leading the Reclaiming North Lawndale Initiative

With homeownership being a crucial factor in obtaining and sustaining generational wealth and the history of Black communities being prevented from achieving homeownership, LCDC is on a quest to remedy the systemic obstacles. We are prepared to build 1000 new single-family homes ensuring that working Black and Latino families have affordable homes available to purchase and helping to revitalize the community. We also provide essential homeownership counseling to combat predatory and discriminatory housing practices.
